It appears you have got the log on screen and your password is blank from what I read,
therefore what you may be looking at is enable auto log on to your account.
Go to the Start Menu and the Run box.
.. Type in the following:
control userpasswords2
.. now click OK
.. In the new Windows that appears select the account you wish to make the primary logon.
.. Now uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password..." box.
.. Hit Apply and a dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the selected users
password.
Click OK.
The changes will work the next time you restart your computer.

| Dear Sir:
| I don't know where to look for responses to your message, but your
| problem is very similar to mine, so I am writing to you.
| For Some reason, upon turning on my computer after it being off overnite,
| as it butted up - I got a panel for Windows that I have never seen before
| I believe it is titled Windows Sign In
| On the panel for USER ID , the word "user" is typed in, However where it
| askes for Password - that block is blank. When I type in my internet user
| ID, and password which are the only ID or Passwords used by me with my
| computer, It tilts and goes back to the same block with flashing curser in
| Password.
| I finally just put my mouse on the OK button and Windows went on to open.
| Now every time I turn on my computer, I have to go through this gun drill
| with that panel, type OK, etc.
| Have you got a clue for me on this and if so what can I do to eliminate this
| problem.
| Many thanks, Dr Joe Goeppner
