forgot my Windows XP Password

Can someone help me?
The system prompted me to change my password since it was
going to expire in a couple days. So I changed my password
and I entered it twice with no problems. When I tried to
log on the other day it wasn't accepting it. I thought
maybe I typed it wrong but I typed it every possible way.
Its a home system, with DSL.

Can someone out there help?
 
Try to do this, at the logon screen, hit ctrl+alt+del
twice real quick. IF another window opens up type in
this username just like this Administrator . (not
all those spaces though :P). No pw, if you can logon,
you need to go to control panel then user accounts and
remove the pw from your username. Then under control
panel, go to administrative tools, then computer
management, then scroll down and locate local users and
groups, click on it, then users, find your username and
right click it and hit properties. Make it where your pw
never expires.

out how to overcome this could u email me the remedy to

You can always try and re-install Windows without
formating.. That should probably do the trick

If this doesn't you may want to try and use a startup
disk and try to access drive C: or whatever partition you
installed Windows onto. Navigate to "\WINDOWS\system32
\config" and copy the file SAM to a floppy. Then use
another computer to read the file. The passwords are
hashed. Try and use some "hacking/cracking" tools to get
the password.
