Purchased this VAIO 4 years ago upon exiting a company.
Originally set up on a network. Used for another year,
then put in the closet for a while. Tried to use today.
It automatically remembers the user name, but I've had no
luck with passwords. Seems suspicious to me as there are
only a few passwords I ever use. Get the sense that it's
trying to log on to a network, not this PC.
Anyways, paid one service and they said my only option
after forgetting the password is to purchase a new copy of
2000 Pro, which is what's installed now. Didn't ask for
the OS CD's when I left the company, which I should have.
Have all of the registration #'s, though.
Any, any, any options?
