forgot administrator password

sent my computer out for repair. Now I am prompted for a
password. I dont remember creating a password. If I did,
how do I change it.

most likely you can leave it blank and you should be able to get in but if
that's not the case

Hi,

If you have any other user accounts. You may try logging in to it and
change the password of the account you are not able to log in.
In such a case after logging in through a different ID.
Considering that the User ID you have logged in has local Admin Rights.

Go to Control Panel -> User accounts -> Open User Accounts -> Select the
User Name (which you are unable to login) -> Click Reset Password -> Type
new Password.

After the password is changed Log out and try logging in back with the Old
User ID.
