Do you have another account on the PC that has Administrator privileges?
If so, login to that account and reset the password on the Administrator
account.

There are a few programs that will go in and edit the
account passwords for Windows. Some of them like ERD
Commander cost quite a bit of money. However you can find
some free ones here (I use Austrumi myself).

Thanks for your post - just successfully used Austrumi to recover several GBs
of VERY important info. Yes, it was backed up, but recovering this way took
much less time than reimporting!

"AC"-Could you email it to me also? I have a friend who is a computer tech.
everytime he installs something or is at my computer he changes it so he has
access to my pc and changes security options(because he knows I am lost). I
would like to change it and keep him permanantly "off" of my computer. I just
cannot figure out how to change the administrator password. Thanks
