Forcing Page breaks in reports

I have a report which groups records into certain product categories.

I would like to force the report to generate a page break before certain
categories, so that it would appear on a new page, rather than continue on
the previous page.

Is there a way to do this in Access?

?Before "certain" categories? Not before each category? How will you (and
more importantly, Access) know which one(s)?

Hi Vector,

I just did something similar I think. I am pretty new at this so make sure
you make a copy of the report you are working on so if it gets messed up,
you still have the original. I have employees as a category that I grouped
by first then details about them are in the detail section of my report. I
double clicked on the Employee Header and then selected the property "Force
New Page" then I selected "Before Section" and that worked for me. Now I
have a new page for each employee.

Hope this helps and I am using Access 2000.

If you don't want to force a page break between each group, but just want to
keep a group together on the page, right click on the header and choose
"Sorting and Grouping". Select the appropriate Field/Expression and change
"Keep Together - No" to "Keep Together - Whole Group". This way, you'll only
insert a new page if the entire group will not fit at once.
