Forcing Outlook not complete automatically area code.

When I am syncronizing contacts from Outlook to my cellphone, all telephone
numbers come up with area code in my cellphone, so the calling can not be
done.
I have tried everything, like exclude my dialing location in Outlook, but
Outlook does not allow me to keep area code in blank.

If I edit contacts and try to simply delete area code, Outlook automatically
replace again area code when I type enter.

1) How can I make Outlook not to show area code?
2) How can I set up Outlook to not complete automatically area code for new
contacts?
Regards, Junior.

You can't. Masking of phone numbers is hard coded and cannot be changed.
However, it should not interfere with dialing if you have your dialing rules
configured correctly.

Dear Russ Valentine,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I am very upset with your bad news. Just FYI, I am facing dialing problems
in my cellphone and not at my computer. The only way to solve this dialing
problems at my cell is to import data without area code, which you have
answered that it is not possible.
Tks anyway, Junior.
