ForceFeedback 2 Joystick Direct X 9 issues

when i install direct X 9 on my PC running windows 2000
after restart my force feedback 2 stick is listed under
sound hardware in hardware manager and does not function,
is there a patch or drivers to resolve this?
 
You have posted this is the wrong group. Please try in the Windows 2000 or
DirectC group.
