After I scanned my system it found two items. One is a
file of my own that it misidentified. The other is
WinPCap which I actually use for developement on this
system so it's not spyware in this case. For both items I
left the default option of "Ignore". When I
click "Continue" I get the "You have selected to ignore
all detected threats. Would you like to continue." to
which I say "yes". It then shows me a summary
of "Quarantine: 0, Remove: 0, Ignore Always: 0 Ignore: 2"
and "Send to SpyNet" is checked by default. I choose yes
to perform the actions. It then tells me that IE is
running and to clean my system it has to close it but the
only thing I told it to do is ignore the 2 things it
found! Why does it need to close IE to ignore them? If I
close IE and continue it then reports what I ignored to
SpyNet. That may or may not be correct depending on if
they are trying to use the number of times something is
ignored in rating the severity of the item. However if by
choosing ignore it just means the application is supposed
to ignore the items and not report them as ignored then
something seems to be wrong there.
