WinXP, for both IE and FF

When trying to browse to a certain website, the browser on this PC
gets redirected to a similarly-named (but porny) site. I can't figure
out how this is being done. The PC owner has run anti-virus and anti-
trojan software (AVG, ad-aware) and the results are clean. From other
PCs (at other locations) users can get to the website without issue.

Is this indicative of some sort of setting that sneaky software
applied to the browsers? Or is this indicative of some sort of virus
or trojan?

Any hints would be much appreciated.

Yup sounds like malware. There is a free program called hijack this that can
fix this. Here is a link to a website to download it and a link to a website
with a tutorial on how to use it.
