some clients of mine have been having a problem where outlook 2002 tells
them when they start it that they have to run the inbox repair tool. they do
so and all their folders disappear and are replaced with "recovered data"
folders with their messages plus all kind of task information and separate
attachments that's effectively useless. we've been able to restore their
folders and most of their messages from backups but we don't have any
assurance this won't happen again. this has happened on more than one
machine. does anyone know why this happens? they're running office xp under
windows xp pro. thanks,
