Hi,

I upgraded my old HP printer to a new HP 8250 a few months ago. One of
the problems I am having, and have not found a solution to, is forcing
the printer to print on a page even though it comes back with that the
page is upside down. I use labels in my printer and do not print all
of them at a time. This seems to cause the problem.

Does anyone know how to get around this?

Thanks,
Brian

I am a little confused. Are you saying that the printer is reporting "that the
paper is upside down"?
If so what exactly is the wording of the error message you are getting?
Any other information would be helpful.
Or am i misreading your post?

HI Tony,

Yes, It is saying the paper is upside down and that I should place it
in the tray with the printing facing up, then press the OK button.

The sheets that I am using can be seen through, where there is printing
on the other side, if I remove some labels. However, I have the
printing area setup correctly so it should print on the area that is
covered with the label.

Thanks,
Brian

I did some research, the printer uses paper "auto sensing" which determines
which HP paper is loaded and whether it is loaded correctly. I suspect that
having some labels removed from a sheet confuses this feature. Does the driver
allow you to turn off this feature?
