Force New Page not working

I have Access 97.

I'm making a report that will make a CD insert listing record tracks for
Opera CDs. I have a 4 column report. There are two groupings. After the main
group, the recording, I have a footer with Force Page Break After Section.
This works. The Details section contains the song tracks.

Since most opera recordings have more than one CD, my next group is the CDs
(1, 2 and 3). I want a column break after each CD. But if I put New Row or
Col after section, I then lose the Force New Page.

Is this normal behaviour? Can I do anything to change this? Does it happen
in Access 2000+?

Hello Evi

Yes, I can reproduce this behaviour in Access 97. However, after playing
around a bit, I discovered a workaround. You might like to try the
following:

Add a *header* for the inner (CD) group, and set NewRowOrCol to "Before
Section".

Add a *footer* for the outer (Recording) group, and set ForceNewpage to
"After Section"

It seems that Access gets confused when the sections are both headers or
both footers.

That's fantastic Graham! Thank you.
