I have a PC (Windows XP) where if I Ping domain name I have an answer
from a domain in an other state, but I would like to have an answer
from the domain connected near to me. I know that windows choose the
Domain, but I would like to force chosen the domain near to me.

Help me!

What do you mean by 'domain'?
How are you connecting to said 'domain'?
What is your internet connection? (Cable, DSL, other?)
Can you give more details on what it is you are attempting to accomplish?

I have a Big network (ethernet), where there are many Domain
Controllers with the same Domain name domainname.com, I can't manage
the domain controllers.
But I'm connected on the domain with a PC (WXP) joined on the domain
domainname.com, if I try on the PC to Ping domainname.com I have an
answer from the domain controller placed in another country, but I
would like force WXP to have an answre from the domain placed near to
me

Why?
The Domain Controllers you connect to *are not* called 'domainname.com' -
they are called 'actualservername.domainname.com'.

Try this:
Start button --> RUN --> type in:

cmd /k set

--> Click OK.

In the command Prompt window that opens, scroll up and find the line that
starts:

LOGONSERVER=

The part after the equal sign is the ACTUAL name of the server you connect
to - most likely without the 'domainname.com' at the end. If you ping that
server - you should find it is relatively close to you (it was the first
domain controller to answer when you logged on.) The domain name itself may
be anywhere, really - in your case.

By the way - ethernet does not describe the size of your network.

What you have is a WAN (Wide Area Network).

Yes it's only an example....
LOGONSERVER=
I have here write the server near to me...

But I want to understand why if I ping domainname.com the IP answer is
not the server near to me

Because you are not PINGING the server you connect to - you are pinging the
domain.
Whoever answers... answers.

You should get SPECIFIC if you want to ping something 'close' to you.

Why is this such a concern?

Also - if you're having problems with domain authentication, you need to
make sure that each office/network's DC is in its own AD site/subnet (AD
Sites & Services).

Ask vague questions, get vague replies. Yeah, like we're supposed to
guess what is the problematic domain to which you are trying to connect.
Ask the admins of whomever manages the domain to which you are connected
regarding your TCP setup.

Oh, so you are trying to circumvent your employee's load balancing or
security on their network. Uh huh. Call the IT dept of your employer
to find out what you can do and if you are allowed to do it.

Depends on what nameserver (DNS) you are connected to. If using DHCP to
assign your IP address then the DHCP server also assigns you to whatever
your employer's IT department decided that you were supposed to use.
Again, contact your IT department to find out how to use a different
nameserver after explaining why you are trying to circumvent their
setup.
