How can I force a textbox to display the text in capitalization as the user
types it in, and store it in the database in caps?

Thanks in advance!

I usually just convert the case as they type by using the KeyPresss event.

KeyAscii = Asc(UCase(Chr(KeyAscii)))

Hermie,
I had already tried the > sign. This works to display the text in all caps,
but does not display the text in caps as you type and it does not store it in
the database in caps. The code that Rick provided worked great.

Thanks!

I tried to get this to work and it came back and told me
that it couldn't find the mac or fuction it was looking
for. I tried to run it from the form properties and then
the text box. On the form properties it did nothing but
it did the above on the text box. Is this for 97 or 2000
& 2003? ANY Suggestions

It should work in all versions of Access.

It's entirely possible that your References are broken, causing Access not
to recognize the built-in functions.

This can be caused by differences in either the location or file version of
certain files between the machine where the application was developed, and
where it's being run (or the file missing completely from the target
machine). Such differences are common when new software is installed.

On the machine(s) where it's not working, open any code module (or open the
Debug Window, using Ctrl-G, provided you haven't selected the "keep debug
window on top" option). Select Tools | References from the menu bar. Examine
all of the selected references.

If any of the selected references have "MISSING:" in front of them, unselect
them, and back out of the dialog. If you really need the reference(s) you
just unselected (you can tell by doing a Compile All Modules), go back in
and reselect them.

If none have "MISSING:", select an additional reference at random, back out
of the dialog, then go back in and unselect the reference you just added. If
that doesn't solve the problem, try to unselect as many of the selected
references as you can (Access may not let you unselect them all), back out
of the dialog, then go back in and reselect the references you just
unselected. (NOTE: write down what the references are before you delete
them, because they'll be in a different order when you go back in)

I know it is a couple months after the last post but I am having problems
with this also. I tried what Douglas says below but I am still getting the
error Lonnie was getting.
Any new suggestions.
