Office Word 2003, SP2

Is there a way to force a break in a long word, without a hyphen?

The word has a forward-slash in it, so hyphenating it would not be proper.
The document is left-justified, and since there's not enough room for the
entire word to fit near the end of the line, the line to breaks almost in
the middle, and shifts the long word to the beginning of the next line. The
previous line looks plain wierd -- just half a line with a lot of white
space at the end.

Any way to force a break after the slash? (I know I could insert a space,
but then if the document changes at all and the word ends up on the same
line, it'll have an extra space....)

Thanks.

Go to Insert > Symbol > Special Characters tab and insert a 'no-width
optional break' after the slash.
