force an 'archive' of messages?

i just moved all my archived messages back to my current folders. now i am
attempting to try out a better strategy of handling the backup of my
messages. anyhow, i chose 2 folders to set up for testing, each had over 1k
of messages in them. i set each to archive anything over 1 week old. i got
a bit of 'brief' archive action on both of them, but only 15 or 20 messages
moved to the newly created archive folder. i have tried changing the time
span, looked at all the properties i can and yet cannot seem to make OL
archive the rest of the messages for those folders.

any idea on why it isnt grabbing all the old stuff and moving it?

Check the Last Modified date on the items that aren't being archived as you
think they should. That's the date Outlook uses to determine whether or not
an item is ready to be AutoArchived, and a simple action such as moving the
item to another folder can change the Last Modified date. More information
