Suzy

You seemed to be well versed in PPT, and I'm trying to get
certified..
Yesterday I took the test and failed.. but one of the
questions had a problem. I was the first one to take the
test in this temp agency offering the certif, I'm confident
I didn't have the option to answer correctly on that question.
Here is the email I sent to the agency describing the problem:

- question #32 is about putting animation to a title, text
and object in an existing slide, all with different types
of animation. I've done this many times before and am quite
confident about my concern here. One of the effects
requested was "applause" which should have appeared in a
drop-down menu (custom animation/effects/entry animation
and sound). I did it at home and I have that drop-down with
the choice of "applause" (among others). I didn't have that
option at your office.
It might just be that the file "applause" does not exist or
is not installed on that PC (far right).

What do you think?
Thanks

Suzy, there are many more people that frequent this NG who are eminently more qualified than I. Without knowing the version of PowerPoint on your system at home, along with the version where you took your test, it is hard to give a positive answer your question. More than likely if that where you took your test the sound "Applause" was not an option, then your probably correct that it was not installed, as not all sounds are installed initially.

Something you might consider doing when visiting the NG is to expand (click on the + ) threads your interested in so that you can reply directly to that thread, rather than start a new one each time. Definitely makes things easier to follow.

Majority of folks in this NG use the Text based news reader, currently much more efficient than the web based one.
