John Kelly

Hi there,

I have seen lately (especially with you) that you are replying to
messages that I have not received...so I have done a few tests and have
found, must be extreme case, that sending a message direct to Microsoft can
take up to two days before it arrives back via my other ISP...but strangely,
If I send a message via my normal ISP it straight away comes back via
Microsoft.

We still have steam power over here...maybe that's it....

Regards...JK

Yup,

I posted a response on another newsgroup two days ago, and it still hasn't
shown up yet for me to see. But maybe others can. Sometimes I have to go
back and look at my 'sent items' to be sure I already responded to
something.

It's just kind of a free-for-all in terms of communication, essentially an
unmoderated area. A whole lot better than nothing - but not as good as the
moderated forums where people have to register to be involved - but the
messages show up right away.

Hi PapaJohn,

I have solved the issue of delays with some emails. I remembered that I
have a program called News Rover. What you do is tell it the details for
all of the news servers that you want to connect to, then you create an
"Interest Group", tell it how often you want it to scan and away you go.
Unlike Outlook Express, News Rover will pick up News as well as e-mail, If
you are interested in this you will find the link in the header info to
this message.
