Excuse me for my bad english.
operative sistem is windows xp sp2, antivirus is Antivir personal version 6
(free), I don't have problem, but when I start antivir main program during
"system test" for a moment it writes "system warning".
if I read the file " AVWIN.LOG" this appears:
<CUT
Initializing OK
Memory test OK
Master boot record of hard disk HD0 OK
Master boot record of hard disk HD1 OK
Boot record of drive C: OK
System files
boot.ini OK
Bootfont.bin OK
IO.SYS OK
MSDOS.SYS OK
NTDETECT.COM OK
ntldr OK
pagefile.sys OK
System test: Error find the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\..
<<<<<< I REFER TO THIS<<<<<<
Self-test: OK

Its OK Hal just needed a bit more info.

I am sorry I know nothing about Antivir Personal 6 but I will give you
a couple of general pointers.

Your error could mean that it is not checking the system 32 file
because it can't find it, is your OS installed on the "C" drive is the
obvious question?

Secondly I would run an online virus scanner to ensure that some
malware is not preventing your AV from testing the Sys 32 file.

Then if you gert no replies to this thread from somebody who knows
something about this I would contact Antivir help and ask them whats
going on. I would be inclined to ignore it as a glitch, if as you say
you have no problems and the app is working as usual but as I say I do
not know anything about the Antivir app.

Sorry Hal
