Footnotes

I am in an enterprise situation. Office 2000. One of my
end users asked if there is any easy way to add footnotes
to an Excel Spread Sheet. The "Help" section did not offer
any ideas to this question. Can someone help?
 
I think the closest thing to footnotes would be cell comments. Just select
the cell and click Comment on the Insert menu.
 
there are no footnotes! i tell users to use a text box
at the bottom of the page. if you put it in the right
place, take off the borders,etc. it looks as if its part
of text.
it's a spreadsheet (i usually this part under my breath)!
