Quite often when I print out a letter or document the blank space at the
bottom is quite large and if I try to print out a full page of the document
a default comes in saying something like "some of the document will not be
printed, would I like to fix the bottom margin or whatever automatically",
when I say yes I get a bottom margin that is much bigger than the top one.

In other words, how can I make the printing reach to within about 2 cms of
the bottom of the page. Thanks for any tips or help, Dan.

Every printer does have an irreducible nonprintable area (see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Formatting/BottomsDontPrint.htm), but if the
bottom margin Word is trying to set is 2.67" and you have an HP LaserJet
printer, then you're experiencing a mysterious problem that can probably be
corrected by using one of the "margin fix" drivers from
http://www.hp.com/pond/ljbeta/index.html.

Hi Lisa, the footer is set to 0 and when I select view print layout I can
see there seems to be about two inches of blank space at the bottom, any
more text that is added goes on to a new page.

Thanks, Dan.

I am actually having the same problem, except that I
would just like to take the whole footer out and start
again. Is that possible?
