In PowerPoint 2000, I have set up a template with the page number in the
lower left hand corner, the footer in the center and the company logo in the
lower right-hand corner. Both the page number and footer use the same font
and font size. I cannot seem to get them aligned correctly. The footer is
either slightly higher or slightly lower than the page number. I've tried to
line them up by hand. but I'm always just off. Is there any way to "force"
PowerPoint to automatically line these up evenly?

Many thanks.

Steve,

On the Draw menu (bottom left) are some tools to align objects.

Select all the objects you want to align then go
Draw menu > align > Top (or whatever is appropriate in your case)

Also be sure to check the
Format menu > Autoshape > Text box > Text anchor point > are all set the same (ideally top)
And that the margins are all set to 0 (on the same window)

Cheers
