Fooling programs into thinking that Vista is XP

Some programs that I have does not want to install under Vista saying that it
is a incompatible operating system, is there a workaround to make the
programs think that they are dealing with XP??

Right click on the program, select "Properties" and
you'll see "Compatibility mode".

There are some programs that just aren't going
to work. The software companies are going to have
to write the programs for Vista. If not, then that's
the way it goes.

If Vista stops you when you're installing something, it won't run under the
Vista shell, regardless of what the program thinks you're running under.
It's not stable in Vista, period.
