Hi ya all

I have a major drama with my programme, that is I seem to
have created a fatal floor in my programme and I can no
longer open it in excel. That is I get a program error :
Excel has generalated errors.

I have tried all the ways I can think of to get it back,
does anyone know if it is possible to force excel to stay
open?

Hi

I feel your pain. First of all: Make a backup of the file somewhere safe.
Then the standard things to try is
-remove all temp files
-rename all toolbar files
-try to open with macros disabled

If still no good then various safe mode, re-registering and reinstalling are

Hi,
Sometimes when excel crashes, the programme closes down but the
process remains in memory. Try looking at you process list to see if
EXCEL.exe is there if so, stop the process. Next time when you run
excel run it with macros disabled and you should be able to rectify
your problem.
