its the message bodies. Like all that you have wrote is italized. In IE I
start up with msn.com and all the links there are italized. Then when I
click the links, everything there is also italized.
Looks like your Fonts are corrupted?
Does the Fonts Control Panel applet give any clues?
To try to discover the scope of your problem in IE try checking
the Accessibility option: Ignore font styles specified on Web pages
Then experiment with the Fonts dialog (Alt-T,O,Alt-n) to see if there
are any combinations of settings which don't produce this effect.
One user who had font problems discovered that removing some
third-party fonts he had acquired from a recent install avoided them.
Diagnosing Font problems is something I have been wanting to get
more information on. I have tried using FileMon and RegMon to figure
out which ones get picked and why but haven't had much success that way.
(Of course I don't have any font problems myself to give me that
extra incentive to make that approach work or find a different tack. <g>)
I suspect that this is more of a system-type problem than an IE end-user's
type problem. Also, I suspect the necessary knowledge to understand
how fonts are chosen isn't likely to be found in this newsgroup.
Therefore, I would try reposting either in a general newsgroup for your OS
or in one for web developers.
Good luck
