A friend decided to go and delete some fonts, add some
fonts, etc. Since then, he's been having some problems.
One example, he goes into Photoshop, tries to put text on a
picture and he gets an error message about not being able
to load a system default font, or something like that.

Another example - Times New Roman is gone.

Can you give me some help for getting all the Windows 2000
fonts back on the computer, and then advice for adding and
removing fonts.

Thanks.

Jim

Make a folder for additional fonts and always put them in it before
installing on the computer. Reason, ne day you will have "troubles"
huh-hmmm, and you can remove them to an external backup source, if you don't
have them already in a safe place.
Which font so you need. If they are default fonts, you can get them off
another computer by copying to a floppy or other source or by making a copy
on your desktop and attaching them to an email to that person. You can also
do a search on google to find default fonts for free. It's not really that
bad to install. All you have to do is drag and dopr them in your fonts
folder. If you don't know where it is located, do a search on you Start
button and look at the path, or you can actually drag them into the folder
from whereever to there (try one at a time for practice)

With the Windows CD in the CD-Drive run in the command prompt "sfc
/purgecache" w/o the quotes.

Sorry for the lame post.
Taking medication, and apparently it is winning.
(I know - Well don't post)(Think I'm going back to bed)
