Fonts/Typing messed up

When I am typing in word or in email all of the sudden
the keyboard turns demonic and starts to have a mind of
its own. It wont capitalize, my period can only be a
comma, it just gets crazy. I am using windows xp. Any
suggestions?
 
Thsi is most likely caused by one of the latest Trojan viruses. I've heard it on many occassions and even on the TechTV show, they verified that this is a virus.

Have you been udating you AntiVirus definitions? are you updating your Windows?

I don't recall which particular virus it is, but if you go to either Symantec.com or Pandasfotware.com or Mcafee.com and research it, you will find the virus and the process to stop it. Now from what I recall, this virus will be active when on the internet...but check on it.

I ran my nortons, updated nortons and ran again and I
also went to the symatecs web site and ran through there,
they all came out clean. I was wondering if it was a
software conflict. This all began when I installed
Norton Firewall (Which I can never use when I am online
because it wont let me online. Today I deleted it).
