Fonts in PowerPoint are cut in half on the screen

I am using PowerPoint 2007 and create my presentation on a desktop then
transfer to a laptop for presenting. When I do, the fonts get cut in half
when the slide is projected on the screen. I am using the same version of
PowerPoint on the laptop. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
