Fonts changing sizes in IE6

Any ideas?

I had win98 on this pc, which had the same problem. About 75% of the time
you log on with IE the fonts come up way too large (despite the font setting
being "smaller". Also, if I go to any microsoft windows site the fonts are
just HUGE - like one letter will fill the whole screen!, making it
impossible to read. The other 25% of the time I log on, things are normal.

I have since upgraded to Win XP Pro. The first few logons were fine, but
now the same things again.

Obviously it certainly appears this is a virus, but which one? What can I
do to remove it? Fix the issues?

I am running F-Secure 2004, and though it picks up a couple of things, they
are either "non-repairable or deleteable" or can only rename them.

The ones it picks up do not seem to be connected to this problem either
(from what I have read about them).

Any help most appreciated.

This is a configuration issue.

No virus does that. Hold down the CTRL key, and scroll the wheel on the
mouse, to adjust the font size. I have the feeling you do rather need a
new keyboard and/or mouse, or that the wireless receiving station is
placed in an inconvenient way, or that some device is interfering with
the wireless (ie radio) connection, or that keyboard and mouse batteries
are running low.

So Microsoft sites are affected 100 times worse than others by chance?

I dont have a wheeled mouse.

I am not using a wireless mouse or keyboard, and the hard drive that is in
this pc was doing the same thing in the last pc it was in.
