fonts and display

On certain software I have the screen that appears (this is not a
browser window but rather a standard windows interface -not sure how to
properly refer to it) does not show all the text nor all the buttons.
In particular, the text seems to run off the window and buttons that
should be there are not). I have made some adjustments to fonts on my
system so that things are bigger and this may be the problem but I
don't know how to set the size back to avoid the problem. I have tried
right clicking the desktop and making various changes within the
Appearance tab but it does not help (Properties>>Appearance>>Advanced).
How can I correct this?
Thanks very much.

Does this "certain software" have a name?

Is this "certain software" the only place this problem appears?

Hi, the software is Dragon Speak by ScanSoft. I am not sure if the
problem appears elsewhere or not. Is there another place to make the
display adjustments?
Thank you

You need to figure out if the problem appears with other programs/folders as
well or making a change may fix Dragon Speak and screw up everything else.
