I have embedded my fonts in my presentation but every time
I save, it tells me it cant save CG Times to my file. I
dont have CG Times anywhere in my presentation. I have
looked in the Change Fonts area and it is not listed as a
used font. Anyway to get rid of this???

TIA,
Terri

Do you mean that when you go to Format > Replace Fonts and expand the list
under Replace, that CG Times isn't listed?

Yes..it isnt listed. But everytime I save it says "Some
of your fonts can not be saved with your presentation" and
it lists CG Times.

Hi Terri,

Most likely your presentation includes some fonts in metafiles or OLE
objects (such as Graphs) which PowerPoint is trying to embed. PowerPoint
cannot replace fonts inside of pictures or OLE objects which is why the
font is not listed in the Replace Fonts dialog.

For OLE objects you would have to Open/Edit each object and, if it's using
the problem font, reformat the text to use a font which is embeddable.

If you are not sure which fonts are embeddable, you can install the shell
extension for font properties (http://www.microsoft.com/typography) and
then examine the properties for your fonts in the Fonts control panel and
look for fonts that are licensed for Installable embedding or Editable
embedding. If you want your presentations to be editable in PowerPoint 2003
you should stay away from fonts that are licensed for Print & Preview
embedding.
