Font Styles

Due to the incompatibilities I'm finding with my 2007 verion on the PC, to
the clients 2004 version on her mac, I would like to be able to create a font
style sheet that I can apply to different text blocks. Then when the client
gets my file, she can simply change the style sheet font to something on her
mac.

Is there a way to create a style sheet to do what I'm trying to do, or does
someone have a better suggestion that would allow me to change a font
face/style globally?

Also, if any one can direct me to some kind of guide as to how to save files
that can be viewed on either platform, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

PowerPoint doesn't have any sort of style sheets in the sense that Word does.
We have an add-in that lets you define and use styles, but it only works on the
Windows version of PPT, so that's out for your Mac client.

There's the text formatting on the slide masters, though. If your slide text
all follows the slide master formatting (ie, you don't reformat the text on
individual slides), the other user will be able to make any needed font changes
on the master and the slides will follow along.

On the Mac, they can choose Format, Replace fonts and for each font in the
presentation, choose a substitute font from the ones present on their system.

This is one place to start:

Were it my problem, I'd get the project out of 2007 and back in 2003 or earlier
so fast it'd leave both our heads spinning. This has nothing to do with whether
or not I like 2007; it's just that the two versions are SO different that
you'll drive yourself nuts chasing little potential incompatibilities, where the
jump from 2003 to Mac PPTX or 2004 is a lot more seamless.

But that's just me. I don't like contact sports that involve my head and brick
walls. ;-)

Thanks, Steve.

It did hit me this morning, that 2007 wasn't the answer. I switched it back
to 2003 and the client did the "Replace Fonts" and all worked fine.

Thanks again.

Just in case you need it later: You can add Replace Fonts to your QAT. It is
in All Commands. (I think it is somewhere else on the list, but that was the
easiest place to find it.)
