In PowerPoint 2003, I have many column charts with category labels
appearing underneath the X (horizontal) axis. The font I am using is
Arial Narrow 10.
When the category label is long enough, it "wraps" down to a second
line or even to three lines. These lines are too far apart - it looks
rather odd.
I am familiar with how to adjust the line spacing between lines of text
when I am working with text in a text box; but I have not been able to
find a way of tightening up the line spacing in a label on a chart.
Is it possible to set line spacing? If so, how? If not, what alternate
solutions have people discovered?
Thank you,
Malcolm
P.S. One other quesion: In the "Format Axis" dialog box, on the
"Alignment" tab, there is a box where one can set the "offset". I would
be interested to know what this is. Have tried a few different numbers
in there but can't see any effect.
