Font problem in application

I recently installed an application on my stepson's desktop computer. But,
portions of the main window are messed up. These sections are now displayed
using a larger and bolded font than that used on other machines that run this
same application. This causes some buttons to be overlayed and inaccessible.

My stepson is running the Thai version of XP Pro and has installed a program
(runs as Windows service) called WinStylerThemes. I have tried stopping this
service but the problems persists. I think this product may have altered
which fonts are used as the system standard(s).

How do I determine what font is being used by this application?
How can I reset my fonts to the 'standard' fonts?

I tried a recommendation found using Google to change my DPI settings to a
custom level, reboot, then change it back. That didn't help.

Can anyone help shed some light on this problem?

Thank you,

Any advise given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS (Normally, Usually, Generally, Sometimes :)

I would uninstall WinStyler Themes and see if that solves the issue. If
it doesn't, you might want to replace the standard XP fonts since it
sounds like the combination of the new application and WinStyler Themes
has messed up the fonts.

I tried all the recommendations here...to no avail. The application main
window is still a big problem because of oversize/bolded font being used.

I even tried to replace some of the font registry entries with those from a
machine where the application is working correctly.... problem persists
@#$@#^!

Any more suggestions?

Thanks,
Derek

Then try:

1. Start>Run>sfc /scannow [enter]
Have your XP install cd handy.

2. If #1 didn't work, do a Repair Install.
