font does not scale with figure

I often try to scale back a powerpoint fig only to discover that the font
does not scale with the rest of the figure. Now, this can be fixed by
enlargin text boxes and selecting differnt font sizes - but this can really
be time consuming. Any tips on how to scale all items in the fiure the same
amount?

Sure:

Select all of the shapes that make up the figure, then choose Edit, Copy.

Next, choose Edit, Paste Special and choose Enhanced Metafile as the paste
type.

You now have a single graphic that you can scale up and down ... and the text
scales with it.
