font display differently on other computers

I have just set up a website (iamadvisors.com) using FrontPage 2003 and have
used Verdana as a font throughout. When I view the website on my computer it
looks fine, but if I view it on any other computer the font does not look
correct.

Verdana is a common font and I have it on the "other" computer so why
doesn't my website look correct?

Also, in one part of the website, I use MT Imprint Shadow as a font and it
seems to show up as Verdana Serif on other computers, but just fine on mine.

How is it possible that other computers see my website differently? I have
the same resolution settings and IE view is set to medium on both computers.

If the computer doesn't have the font installed, the browser will use
its default font instead.
Since very few will have MT Imprint Shadow installed very few will see
the pages as you intended.

Are you certain about that?

PDAs
Sun Workstations
etc.

The "other" computers I am using are of the same type and running exactly the
same OP SYS and software as the one I created the web site on and which shows
the website correctly.

Have you actually applied the font tag to the text either via the font dialog or via CSS, if not
then the browser will display it's default font.

Thanks for the help - it seems that actually I was using "verdana Ref" and
not "verdana" on part of the site, and the "verdana Ref" text did not display
the same on the other computers. I suppose this is not as common a font as
regular verdana. The other issue seemed to be that I was using "MSO.Normal"
instead of "Normal" - I don't know what the difference is but it helps if I
use "Normal"
