Font Colors on Desktop

I use a light colored wallpaper which makes it difficult
to read the Icon Fonts as they are in white. Is there a
way to change the color? I have tried going to Apperance
under Properties, but the Icon section does not allow you
to change the font colors, just the size, and whether you
want background shading. Does anyone know of a
workaround? Does anyone know why this is one part of the
desktop we (the user) annot change?

Regards,

Dave

It special so it is always readable. Wallpaper doesn't count as XP can't tell what a picture is.

Font in Start - Control Panel - Display - Appearance - Advanced and choose Icon. On the desktop the font colour is different to other icons.

If transparancy is turned off it is black if the desktop background colour is a light colour and white if the background is a dark colour. If transparancy is on it is always white.
