I am running windows XP Home Edition. The fonts on my
desktop are sort of white with black edges. I would
rather just have a black regular font that I could see
clearer. Can anyone tell me how to change the font on
your desktop? Thanks. Jan

If you don't want to have a color block around your text, your only option
is the white text. If you don't mind the color block, then right click on my
computer, properties, advanced, under performance hit settings, and uncheck
the second to last option to use drop shadows. Now, the font will be white
if the color of the desktop is dark and black if the color of the desktop is
light.

I think it depends on the theme you are using probably
one that came with xp. There are lots of websites where
you can download new themes, I like www.ezskins.com

background transparent too, its called ICONOID download
it at download.com - downloads > windows > desktop
