Font and print problem

Win2kPro latest build. Slow PC... 600Mhz.

In the last month my system has developed a major slowdown in the area
of editing and printing, in Word and other MS applications.

Whenever I open Word and click on any of the font editing buttons the PC
goes into freeze mode for about 30 seconds before the function becomes
available. Same in Excel.

Similarly When I go to print preview or print, it also goes into a
freeze period.

This never used to happen. I have ensured that there is plenty of RAM
available (>100Mb) and other apps are not running.

When I print from Photoshop or other apps there does not seem to be a
problem.
