I have created a new field on my contact form, it is a simple formula adding
the values of various other fields. The other fields are currency fields and
so I want the formula field to be a currency field but it just shows as an
unformatted numeric value.

Any ideas please?

Delete the field and create it again, but be sure to specify the currency type
in the field creation box.

Thanks Hollis,

If I create the field as a currency field, then I cannot make it a formula
field, the two appear to be mutually exclusive. I am using Outlook 2000 btw.

I worked around it by creating the field again, making it a currency field
and then adding a defualt calculation and making it read only. But then again
maybe this is not a work around but the way I was supposed to do it!
