does anyone happen to know what version of frontpage you have to upgrade to
before you get this feature automatically?
thanks!
Nancy

Hi Nancy.

I believe most (and maybe all) versions of FrontPage give you the ability in
hyperlink properties... to open links in new windows.

No versions of FrontPage however give you the ability to open those links in
predetermined sizes or placements of those windows. That is usually done via
JavaScript.

Jimco Spawn is an add-in (charity ware) that will install into FrontPage
that can help you with that if that is what you want..it is located here:

Works with FP 2000, 2002, and 2003

hi,
thanks for the response, maybe I'm not asking the question right...
I can make a hyperlink to a new page, but not a new window. I downloaded
and actually figured out how to use that Spawn program, to open a new window
and give it the size I want, sort of like a pop-up, but is there a way to
open a new window if you don't care what the size is? Without using Spawn, I
mean.
And, it appears that none of the subsequent versions of frontpage have the
"spawn" stuff written in?
thanks,
Nancy

It is and has been available in every version since FrontPage Express.

Tell us the version you have and we will tell you where it is.
