How can I do this? I'm used to publishing from my web inside FP to the
internet. How can I change to the website as the location I'm publishing
from?

Stay inside your original thread or people get confused.

=====
Open FP
File | Open Web/Site
type in your web address: http://www.whatever.com
File | Publish Web/Site
You'll be prompted for a location ...you want it in wherever you normally
keep your webs...only I would Publish it to a NEW name.

NB- on your machine you can name your webs anything...Fred, Ethel,
Alice...whatever, only no extension.

Publish.
Bada Bing..done.

use the exact same procedure - in reverse. Open the site "live" from the
server then publish it back to your hard drive. So the remote becomes
"local" and local becomes "remote"

I guess the main problem is that my host does not provide FP extensions.
Given this situation, what are my options?

Well then, use whatever you upload with - an FTP application? CuteFTP,
WS_FTP - or whatever.

I assumed you were using a server with FP extensions installed.

I have Cute FTP, although I usually use the publishing feature of FP. This
will mess up the records of "pages changed, etc" with FP so the next time I
would upload files with FP I would need to completely replace my web?
