Everytime I open IE, after about a couple of minutes a side toolbar opens,
sometimes it displays my folders and other times it displays coupons. I ran
spyware software but nothing seems to be on the computer, what can I do to
stop this from happening?

Hi there,

Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue:

1. Click Start, run, type "inetcpl.cpl" (with out quotation marks) and click
OK.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, uncheck the "Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart)" check box.
4. Click OK.

PS: Do not restart your computer after performing the above steps.

Once you are done with the above steps, please open a brand new Internet
Explorer and check if the problem is resolved.

You may also use the IE Toolbarcop to eliminate stubborn toolbars and other
IE add-ons:

Thank you! I am having the same annoying problem myself.

If that fixed it you need to eliminate any scumware.
First get LSP-Fix - a free program to repair damaged Winsock 2 stacks
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
You may need to run it if you can't browse or send mail after eliminating
the malware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Malware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If nothing there helps, please post back to this thread.
