Folder's open "search"

I've been having trouble with my folders recently. Every time I try to open one, the default action is to open the "search" window, and having to right-click and select "open" from the list gets annoying very fast. I think this should be a problem that isnn't too hard to fix, but I can't figure it out. Can anyone give me some advice

Doug's link, below. Click on XP-FIXES, then on "search opens when
double-clicking a folder"...
