Windows XP folders open in new window !?

all of a sudden every time i open a folder it pops up in a new window, i've looked at the folder options and it is set to open in the same window i've changed it between the two settings and back again but it is still doing it, under file types 'file folder' is set to open with explorer is that right ? im running XP SP2
 
its ok i've sorted it, i just had to delete an entry in the registry
