Folders open in different windows

I made some changes to the shortcut menu for when you right-click on
folders in the directory listing. This worked great, except that now
when I left-click on a folder, it always opens in a new window. I have
ensured that the 'Open folders in same window' option is checked, but
it has not effect. This is not an intolerable problem, but it is
annoying.

Any suggestions to return to the norm would be appreciated.
