I recently received a new laptop at work with Windows XP
Professional loaded. In Windows Explorer, I am set to
view hidden files and folders. However, I cannot see my
OLK folder under C:\Documents and settings\My
Profile\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. However,
If I run to the OLK folder from the run command using the
UNC, the folder and contents are visible. I am a local
administrator on the laptop. I've scanned for viruses and
don't seem to have a virus; we've deleted and recreated my
local profile... Any suggestions as to what to do next?
Thanks.

Hi, Diana.

About 4 lines above Hidden files and folders in Control Panel | Folder
Options | View is another line, Display the contents of system folders. Put
a check in that box. Also, the first time you try to view that folder, you
will probably receive a dire warning that "past this point there be
dragons!" If you are logged on as The Administrator, though, you should be
able to continue and see all those files.
