In W2K Server environment, is it possible to fix the maximum size of some folders
My problem is: I want to implement an environment (server based storage) like this
each user can write in his personal folder (max 50 MB) and in a common folder (ma
200-300MB) shared to his workgroup (3-8 users). I have to manage about 300 users.
Can I be able with W2K server to fix those limits
Is it possible to manage that (for exemple with Disk quotas)?
If not, are there others ways to reach this goal
Thanks a lot

Hi Stef, Since Disk quotas are based by partion / volume you have to make a
partion for personal folders and one for common folders. Then you can use
Disk quotas to fit your needs.

Sorry Stef I would explain better.

You need one partion for user folders, and one partion for common folders.

Lets say at the first partion you want to store users folder.

Here you set a limit at 50mb for each user.

On there other partion you set 300MB limit for each user, This will result
in each user can store 50mb data in there own folder, and 300MB data each in
the common folder.

Sorry Criss3, but my english is not perfect... if I well understud,
I've to manage a disk partition for each user folder and for each shared
folder (about 350-400 partitions of the same phisical disk) isn't it?
