Hi all,

I have a problem with my second Hard Drive. I have Windows
2000 proffesional as my ex-O/S. I download a lot of stuff
and keep all my pictures, songs and etc in my second hard
drive. I put this second hard drive in my IDE Raid. Ever
since my motherboard support Raid, so I have 4 IDE
available for me. I put this on the 3rd or 4th IDE. So
this Had Drive can only be access, if the O/S has the
driver to access this 3rd and 4th IDE. For your
information, my motherboard is SOYO K7v Platinum!. My Hard
Drive information is 7200rpm, 180GB. So far everything
works just fine.

I was thinking to change it to Windows XP. So what I did
is, format my first Hard Drive and change it to NTFS,
after that install a new O/S in it, which is Windows XP.
Now when I load everything, i figure out that my second
Hard Drive having some problem. Some of the folders listed
as files with no extension. So for example if I have
folder named A-Z. Some of them works just fine (i.e: A-T),
the rest is still there, it just that, it was listed as a
files. I click on properties, and I figure out, they are
just a plain files with no etension at all. The name is
still there, it just that they are not accesibale as a
folder, so windows accept them as a files.

I thought this is only happen with windows XP Pr. So I
format it and install my old O/S back, which is Windows
2000 Pro. I install all the drivers needed to access this
Hard Drive. I encountered the same problem with the one in
Windows XP. The same folders were listed as a files.

Is there any other way to solve this? I really have no
idea of what I have to do. I have 150GB filled with data,
from audios, videos and images. The worst is, I have all
my church and school data in it. It's not a simple matter,
because I make a server that store all the data of my
church organization into my computer. I don't even have
any backup for this. So is it possibly for it to be fixed?

Thanks, any reply and help will be appreciated....
